I am falling apart...literally

I had a major shock yesterday. I found out that I have a condition in my spine called Spondylolisthesis. I know, don't even try to pronounce it.

After 4 days of pain in my abdomen and lower back, in and out of Doctors office, a CT scan and blood tests, they had no idea what was wrong with me. The last visit to my Dr. he was talking to me and asking lots of different questions to try to figure out was causing the pain. He said, "Did you know you have a bad back?" I said no. He told me that in the CT scan they noticed that my bottom 2 vertebrae were shifting. I was shocked because I have never had back pain and the pain I was experiencing did not feel like bone pain. He told me that he wanted me to see a spine specialist. I went to a spine specialist yesterday. Here is a pic of my condition, although it is not a pic of my back, this is exactly what my CT scan looks like.

The problem is actually with my last three vertebrae. The middle one is slipping, just like the pic shows. I am also loosing cushion (whatever the technical word for it is...???) and I also have some arthritis in the spine. WHAT???????????

I just couldn't believe what they were telling me. It has been a roller coaster week! For now I am going to do physical therapy to strengthen my core and I have anti inflammatory meds that help ALOT! The last step would be surgery to align and put spacers in but my dr doesn't think it will come to that. She said because I am so active and healthy that we can keep it in check with the physically therapy.

I will keep everyone posted. Please keep me in your prayers. I guess it really is true that you fall apart at 30!!!

You can't eat cereal with a spoon

No, you can't. I have had two colds in a row for the past 3 weeks. I have been miserable. I have no more brain cells left. This picture is not a set-up. This is actually what I sat down to look at this morning as I was pouring the milk. I grabbed the wrong utensil. The other day I took Kylee and Tyler ice skating and the lady told me the total, and I didn't have enough money. I was 21 cents short. So I gathered the kids, we ran back out to the car and I collected some change and ran back in. When I got to the cash register the lady was looking at me like I was crazy and handed me 79 cents and that's when I realize the total was $11.21 and I gave her $12.00, thinking it was only $11.00. She handed the money to me, and then I tripped all over my words trying to explain why I was an idiot. I hope one day I get my brain back!
